Hi, my name is Lorraine Keegan and I am a volunteer with a South Dublin charity ‘Dundrum Arch Club’ run on a voluntary basis. The club offers a social outlet for people age 17+ with an intellectual disability. From a personal point of view I would be lost without this club and have made a huge amount of friends. I have been involved for over 20 years and I am also a mentor with ALPs which is an athlete leadership programme under the Special Olympics umbrella – www.specialolympics/ie/alps.

This blog is to help members, their families and friends talk about issues that are on their mind and hopefully give them answers or at least as a starting point.. I welcome other topics of interest so drop me a comment anytime and I’ll do my best to get answers for you.
